The workshop will be conducted with an engaging approach, through the laboratory practice, to stimulate in participants a dynamic interpretation of ceramic art, letting themselves be inspired by the magic and unique alchemy of the lathe, through which they will be able to give shape to their own ideas.

At the end of the workshop, tourists could take the decorated artifacts at home, as a souvenir of their experience.

At the workshop of master ceramist Antonio La Grotta, participants will be given the opportunity to put their hands in the clay and visit the kiln of the bottega, the ancient ceramic firing chamber and an important exhibition of “capasuni” and other artifacts, made in the 1960s and 1970s, which featured in past pottery competitions, in Grottaglie.

For those interested, lunch will be provided at Cosimo Siena’s typical trattoria All’Nchianata, where traditional dishes will be served.

9 a.m.: meeting point in the parking area of the ceramics district in Grottaglie (TA) to set off on foot at the prestigious artisan workshop of Antonio La Grotta.

9.30 a.m.: visit of the prestigious artisan workshop Antonio La Grotta and start of ceramic workshops.

11.00 a.m.: free walk in the Ceramics District, located in the ancient karst fracture called Lama S. Giorgio.

1.30 p.m.: arrival at the trattoria “All’ Nchianata di Cosimo Siena” in Grottaglie for lunch.

3.30 p.m.: departure and greetings
